Philosophy and the Visual Arts Salon: Philosopher Sacha Golob in Conversation with the Artist Alinah Azadeh

May 2016 saw the latest in the highly successful series of TCCE Philosophy and the Visual Arts salons – it was a real pleasure to introduce and speak with the artist Alinah Azadeh.

These salons are designed to bring together artists, curators, philosophers and anyone with an interest in these issues to talk informally with an artist about his or her work and practice.

Alinah is an interdisciplinary artist, working across a wide range of media. Her practice reflects on and reimagines themes such as debt, loss, division and individuality.  As you can hear at the link below,  her work and her remarks formed the basis for a fascinating evening’s discussion – on the nature of materiality, of ritual, and on the role of the contemporary artist. I hope you enjoy it.
Dr Sacha Golob, Director, Centre for Philosophy and the Visual Arts, KCL

The Culture Capital Exchange would like to give thanks to Alinah and Sacha and to our audience. We very much hope you will be able to join us live for the next TCCE Philosophy and the Visual Arts salon coming up in September 2016 – to sign up for advanced notice, please subscribe here.
