British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowships: New Call for Proposals

The British Academy is inviting applications from established scholars employed in a UK institution, to apply for the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowship scheme which is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and administered through the British Academy.

Applications must be submitted via the British Academy Flexi-Grant® Grant Management System (GMS), accessible at https://britishacademy.flexigrant.com/

Intending applicants need to register themselves in the system, if not already registered, and should access full details by following the link from the Applicant Portal page to: BA/Leverhulme Senior Research Fellowships 2018.

This scheme is designed primarily to provide opportunities for scholars who have already published works of intellectual distinction and who have been hampered in their efforts to accomplish a major piece of research by heavy teaching and administrative duties with little prospect of relief from any source. The principal purpose of these Fellowships is therefore to enable concentrated effort to be directed towards completing a major piece of research, which will be an important contribution to knowledge and understanding.

Deadline for submission of applications: 22 November 2017 at 5pm (GMT)

Deadline for Institutional Approval: 23 November 2017 at 5pm (GMT)

Result announced before: 31 March 2018

Earliest start date for Fellowships to begin: 1 September 2018

Latest start date for Fellowships to begin: 1 January 2019
