Areas of Work

Since 2005, TCCE has been at the forefront of developing and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise between our university members, the cultural and creative sectors and beyond. We do this by developing, designing, curating and producing a wide range of projects, activities and conversations throughout each year.

We support areas of strategic importance to our members with a focus on:

Creative and Research Led Collaborations

Since 2011, TCCE has been leading on the development of two ground-breaking collaborative research focussed projects.

Grand Challenges and Hot Topics

At TCCE, we work intensively with our research communities to respond to the challenges and opportunities that present themselves to us in a rapidly changing research environment and indeed wider world.

Networking Activities

From the start of our work in 2005 through to today, bringing people together is a key component our work.

Early Career Researcher Development

We support Early Career Researchers in a wide variety of ways; from the dedicated support of our Early Career Development Programme, funded through The Exchange through to providing opportunities for involvement in all of our other Areas of Work.

Bringing Research to the Wider Public

TCCE leads a unique programme of activities that aims to bring to wider public attention the diversity of academic research currently being developed by our member institutions and to connect universities with the cultural and creative industries in the process.
