The Crafts Council and The Culture Capital Exchange are delighted to invite you to MakeRobotTech. An event for makers, artists, researchers, scientists, technologists and engineers to discuss common research and practice relating to applied robotics. We strive to provide a platform to come together and explore current applications, future considerations and sector crossovers in working with, on or against robots.
Potential topics to be discussed include:
Ideas Labs are TCCE’s quarterly gatherings open to academics and creative artists and entrepreneurs, limited to around 30 attendees. They offer brainstorming, networking and collaborative opportunities, sparked by provocations addressed by selected chairs. MakeRobotTech will be chaired by Professor in Design Nobuoki Ohtani, Queen Mary, artist Guy Bar Amotz and Producer of Playable City Hilary O’Shaughnessy, Watershed. This Ideas Lab forms part of the Crafts Council’s innovation programme. Topics explored at the event will contribute towards Make:Shift, a biennial conference exploring making, science, technology and engineering at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, 10-11 November 2016. make-shift.org.uk
