Presented by the Guildhall School together with LSO Discovery, this exciting event will explore pioneering uses of technology in contemporary composition, opera, improvisation, sound sculpture and more.
Expect discussions on technology and access, performances on crowdsourced composing, debates on the future of electro-acoustic music, and demonstrations on technology in opera. The day also includes a new site-specific sound installation, devised by the Guildhall School’s Electronic Music Department, involving students and LSO SoundHub composers.
The Keynote speaker will be pioneering composer Professor George Lewis, also a renowned trombonist and improviser, with experience of technology in a wide range of different creative contexts.
