This professional make-up course will help you master many important make-up techniques to start practising either on yourself or on another, to enhance one’s features, disguise minor faults, or express yourself creatively.
This course provides basic training in professional make-up skills and artistry, and includes a mix of demonstrations and hands-on practical lessons. The course covers Day, Evening and Special Occasion looks and, on completion of the full programme, provides an industry recognised qualification.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed towards beginners who wish to learn the basic skills in professional makeup artistry, with no previous experience necessary. It equally has value for students who wish to refresh or update their current skills for retail. It covers day, evening and special occasion looks plus all the techniques required to achieve this end. You will be taught by working make-up artist Ieva Bogdanova.
What happens after the two day course?
Following on from the two days of intensive training, students will complete an at-home study program using the course notes provided and complete a training portfolio of evidence, including a practical and written assignment, and approximately 10 make-up looks to complete on family and friends.
You will be asked to come back for one day once you have completed your portfolio work to take a practical exam and multiple choice theory paper. On completion of the programme, you will receive an industry recognised qualification through the British Beauty Group Association.
